I have a passion for photography and have been taking pictures for my own amusement for roughly 2 years.
As the years have gone on I have realized that photography is definitely a career path that I want to head into and, being just 18 years old, I have the time to learn and grow to be able to encompass the needs of any client or trend.
Fashion photography is something that I would love to get into and I have arranged my own personal shoots with good results as you can see.
London is my main focus for Street Photography - I just love the urban feel.
Photographs can tell you how someone is feeling with just one glance; I think that's why I am so intrigued by the concept of taking pictures. I feel that the link between this and fashion is very strong, photos speak volumes; Whether it's an advertising campaign or a fashion magazine shoot there is always a story behind them. You can read into a picture, it's not just what you see on the surface!
These reasons are among the many that have drawn me to continue with my photography, styling and promotion. It was only recently when studying media at school that I realized how comfortable I felt with a camera in my hand. Even though my media projects were not initially related to fashion, I would find myself always edging towards the concept of fashion photography in the projects that I was set. In one project we had to advertise the bottled water company Evian, immediately my mind was racing with thoughts of who was going to be in the shoot, what they would be wearing and how the set would look to portray the necessary meaning that the brief was asking for.
After leaving school I had a chance encounter with my Media Studies teacher. We had the usual conversation that teachers have with ex students but I was told that some of my work from the lesson was still being used as examples for students.
That's an achievement.
